Webelos Camp and High Dives

Evan and John are off at Webelos Camp for the week.  I have never been away from Evan this long.  John said he is having a blast and the experience is priceless for him.  I keep that in mind.....but usually I just try to keep busy to keep my mind off of him being away.  The highlight of all of this is that Audrey and I have really enjoyed some one on one time.  It has been wonderful.  Yesterday we saw a movie and walked the shops at Friendly. Today we spent the day at the pool with her friend Meisha.

On the last day of school Audrey got the Kindergarten Annual "Fun Dip" Award.  Basically it is given to the student that has a love of learning and helping others.   Evan's class finally finished "Treasure Island" the day before the last day of school, so on the last day they were allowed to buck the uniform and dress like pirates.

Evan's Birthday

Low key birthdays are in order for this guy.  He spent the day with his friend Tucker (along with John and Tucker's dad) fishing and shooting.  Then we had cake with Grammy and opened gifts.  All that is left is our annual "boys only" Great Wolf Lodge trip with Connor.  Hard to believe it has been 10 years......

Summer Activities Begin

The kids' summer activities have started.  I have tried to alternate them so that I can have one on one time with the other one.  Evan has golf camp this week and he absolutely loves it.  I have enjoyed my time with Audrey swimming, hanging out outside, crafting, shopping, going to the library and reading.  Next week Audrey will have a literature camp at school and I will have Evan all to myself.

Graduation

Aaron's graduation.  I can't believe it.  How the time has passed so quickly. He is truly one of a kind and I am so proud of all that he has accomplished.  Second in his class graduating with a 4.8 gpa.

End of the Year....

It has finally come, the end of our school year.  It has been a very busy year, for all of us.  The kids worked hard and did very well.  Evan was one of three in his class to get "Principal's Award" (all As all year) and Audrey stayed on GREEN all year (which means she followed the rules and didn't get in trouble).  Both are major accomplishments that they and we are all so very proud.  I found myself at the school volunteering in so many different capacities.  I am so grateful for a school that allows parents to be so involved on so many different levels.  It really proves that parent involvement is one of the reasons our school is the top K-8 school in Guilford County.
