Golf

It is that time of year....time to break out the golf clubs.  John and Evan went to the range today and then we all (including me) hit the wiffle golf balls in the back yard for practice for hours.  A great afternoon.

The cicadas have invaded our yard.  It is actually quite amazing to see them emerge from their holes, shed their skin and then do whatever is they do (which to me appears to be nothing but sit).  The kids and I have been reading about them.  Very interesting learning experience.  Here is a just a small sample of what we have going on here.  See if you can find all the cicadas and cicada exoskeletons on this bush.

The Property

It was nice to get back up to The Property, especially with the nice weather.  The kids had a blast and we enjoyed celebrating the big number 4 with Wynn.  A new tradition was started, The Property Blackjack Tournament.  Brenda won the first tourney, but only because the house wouldn't accept my first born as collateral....could have something to do with "the house" being said collateral's father.

Final School Performance

My nephew's band had their final performance of their high school career last night.  They did a fantastic job.  I can't wait to see them move on to bigger and better venues during their college years.
