Honor Roll and Salt Dough

We were pleased to once again get invited to the All A Honor Roll Ceremony to honor Evan.  He continues to work hard and makes us very proud.

We had an icy day this past Saturday so Audrey decided to make and pant salt dough.  She had a lot of fun doing one of her favorite crafts.

He loves his teacher!

snow....

After 25 days of tumbling, our first batch of rocks are complete.  They look great.  We have a bunch that we have gotten in the mountains and other places.  It will be fun to see how those turn out.

Rock Tumbling

Grammy got Evan an awesome rock tumbler for Christmas.  He has been interested in rocks and minerals for as long as I can remember.  His toy box no long holds toys but tons of little bags of rough looking rocks he has collected over the years.  We put about 2lbs in to start the process (it takes four steps and 21 days to get them to the smooth polished rocks you see in stores and on jewelry) on Christmas Eve.  Yesterday was the end of the first stage and I can see the progress.  We are all enjoying the process. Audrey has been bringing rocks home for Evan all week.

Tooth Fairy Time

Audrey has had a loose tooth for quite some time.  On New Year's Eve while jumping around with her pillow pet we heard a loud "ouch" followed by a scream of joy "my tooth, my tooth".  Sure enough, she lost her first tooth just one hour before the New Year.  She was so excited for the tooth fairy to come that she even abandoned her effort of staying up until midnight and asked to go to bed.
